Please excuse our mess as we we try to get everything in order.

We are currently working on fine tuning our bigger projects, which hopefully become the future of Thinkers. Innkeepers Journal is getting revamped with a relaunch in June, Innkeepers Directory is having the final touches and first few clients finished off, and finally Innkeepers Web Services continues to offer complete development and hosting services to our Bed and Breakfast clients.

The Thinkers.com site will continue to be hub for all of these sites, with occasional insightful and helpful blog posts and articles.

WordPress Theme: Achromatic

So as I post this I am fiddling around with yet another new theme I found wandering the Internet. I think it might serve Thinkers better as it evolves. I still love “Love the Orange”, but this might get across the messages I am conveying slightly better. So some simple tweaks are in progress to make it pretty and fit my color scheme.

Review: MapPress WordPress Plugin

I stumbled across a great little plugin that takes advantage of the Google Maps API. The best part is you do not need to worry about any coding. Just install the plugin and add your points of interest (via address) and hey presto you have a functional map on your site, with the added feature of directions. It integrated very nicely in to our B&B web site.

It gives you the ability to add a map to either a page of a post. In my example we have added a few maps to some of the posts we have in the Attractions section.

SEO Tips from Jim Stewart

Jim Stewart is an old mate of mine from my dot com days. An honest, trustworthy fellow with a lot of integrity.

His company specializes in SEO. He is very good at it, and in this video show you how easy it is. Like I say it is not rocket science, but it is a little more difficult to do well and consistently. Hence the existence of companies such as StewArt Media.

So if you are trying to do SEO yourself have a watch of this. If you need a little help and are a client of mine, ask. If you need a lot of help, or want someone to do it for you, ask me for a quote or ask Jim!
